FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this calculator apply to Scotland? +
No. Scotland sets its own Income Tax bands and rates, which are different from the rest of the UK. However, National Insurance rates remain the same across the whole UK.
What happens if I earn over £100k? +
If your adjusted net income is over £100,000, your £12,570 Personal Allowance goes down by £1 for every £2 that your income is above £100,000. This means your allowance is zero if your income is £125,140 or above.
